Sea tasting

Dark Knight was freaking amazing~! A bit long towards the end in a way, but otherwise a good movie. (cross-posted in other rant centre) Anyhow, Today (well yesterday according to the time), I went to a Japanese restaurant today with my family (several that I've either never met until a few days ago/haven't seen in ages). I've tried Uni for my first time. It's quite the delicacy in its home country; however for me, the taste was pretty good, but the texture was pushing it. I don't usually mind some slimy items, but when it came to this, it wasn't the greatest. The taste reminded me a lot of lobster or crab "goh" (in Cantonese), which is the gooey, cholesterol filled part in the head of both crustaceans (I wonder if you know what I'm taking about), I don't know what part they are exactly in English.

So, while wikipedia-ing Uni info, I found quite an interesting animal, thinking "Wow, what an interesting looking colourful shrimp". The top image reminded me of a souped up underwater praying mantis with weapons on the side at its disposal. Take a few minutes and read about this amusing animal. Ranging from monogamous relationships, to its better eye sight than thou, and finally, it's special name in Chinese. Who would have known that the shrimp that I ate at the restaurant once, was this very creature?

When was the last time I didn't flock an entry? O_o;;;
