if only you could see how beautiful you are
If only someone didnt rob you of that pleasure
But you have me who sees you as the brightest star
Every stare, touch and kiss I treasure
You warm my heart like melted honey on toast
Brighten my day like chocolate and candy canes
These moments are the ones I appreciate the most
I lock them in my heart and there it remains
Its not all rainbows and butterflies
I know we will have plenty tough times
Fear, frustration and plenty of lies
But ill be ready to strengthen our ties
Sometimes I wonder what I did wrong
Did my mind trick me? Was it just a fling?
I must rewrite our story with a new ending
Maybe then i'd have more than just your shirt
I breathe it in as it lies by my skirt
Your smell fading every day
But never your memory
Sometimes in the dark night
I feel your fingers around my waist
I love how it warms my heart
And then I wake and your gone
Like you were never there
I had faith in you
Why couldnt you believe in me
That I would slit my wrists before I hurt you
So all I do is wait for you to see
That im not just some pretty face
I could be the one thing that saves you
Because I am nothing but good news
I think it's time you took off your bad luck shoes
If ive ever told the truth
Its these words I speak
Ill stand beside you
So I will wait for that day, day 32
