Moar Cooking: Homestead Honeycake with Honey Icing

Dec 21, 2009 12:44

Well the shortbread worked out but I sill felt like cooking and found that we still had honey in the house. So I looked up a recipe for honey cake and decided to go ahead.

The cake is currently cooling and the icing is already made. Thing I'd change about the icing is either reduce or remove the vanilla essence because I think it's too strong for the icing. Also wondering how using 'fresh' ginger (AKA from a tube) instead of ground ginger will effect the flavour.

Time to take the washing out.
