You should report it. You might learn that you are not the first, or it might help another person from falling victim.
For example: I was robbed at gunpoint and went immediately to the local police station. The police woman on duty realized she had seen the car and men earlier that day. They were cruising for potential "marks."
Upshot: I didn't feel so paranoid, felt a little empowered, and learned something from the experience.
