1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Easy, been pregnant and given birth.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make one last year, but this year I may think of one

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
This gal right here typing. Me, myself and I. My friend Hilary also did a short time
later!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my very dear friend Michael Walker. This probably effected me more deeply than
I would have ever imagined.

5. What countries did you visit?
Just the good ol' U.S of A

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Patience. (and I dont mean the Guns n' Roses song)

7. What date(s) from 2009 will remain etched in your memory and why?
April 25th, 2009. It's the day my water broke and I had my son Miles. There aren't
proper words to describe this memory's lasting effect on me...so I'll just say that it
was truly a miracle in every sense of the word.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making it through a surprise pregnancy and not losing my end entirely. I guess I sort
of surprised myself at how strong I was and how I am capable of pushing ahead even when
times are incredibly difficult.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Continuing self-doubt. I would like to say that by 28 this will all be a thing of the
past, but it's a work in progress.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I guess I'm buying myself the remainder of my education...right? So there you go.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Miles. Miles. Miles.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I wouldn't say that too many people shock me these days. There have been a few former
friends who have sort of gone off the radar since I've had a child. While a lot of it
is understandable due to where we are in life, there are a few I know just believe
that my life is over...

14. Where did most of your money go?
Taking care of Miles, clearly.

15. What did you get really, really excited about?
At times, the future.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2009?
"Skoal and Mt. Dew" (Dave's original hit sung at Wheatland) and "Your Humble Narrator"
by an ohio band Two Cow Garage.

17. Compared to this time last year (2008), are you:
Happier or sadder: That's too difficult to answer. I'm not a great deal more of either.
Thinner or fatter: I choose not to answer this one :)
Richer or poorer: About the same

Appreciate sleep.

19. What do wish you'd done less of?
Complaining

Michael and his family in the evening.

The Skoal and Mt. Dew song at Wheatland.

22. Daddy or chips?
I don't get it.

23. How many one-night stands?
HAHAHA. I am going on 17 months...you figure out what that means.

Intervention (always) and Hoarders.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't waste time hating.

26. What was the best book you read?
"My Custom Van" by Michael Ian Black. Made me laugh endlessly.

comfort and whatever makes me look at least 5lbs thinner.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you most want to shag?
Michael Ian Black always tops my list.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election.

37. Who did you miss?
Michael Walker and my brother.

38. Who was the best new person that you met?
Miles of course.

39. Tell us a valuable lesson you learned in 2009?
To give up the small stuff that doesn't matter. Focus on the important things and
people who have longevity in your life. The rest will dissolve and the true gems
will float to the surface.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"These days I seem to think a lot of all the things that I forgot to do, and all the times I had the chance to"-Nico
