(no subject)
weeell, felt like updating.
today was day #2 of classes. my biochem prof is chinese so we'll see how that goes. then art history sounded amazing and i'm really excited about it except for the fact that it'll be a LOOOT of work. then biometrics (a bio/statistics) class seems easy enough and guess who i'm taking it with? adam bell haha. i tapped him on the shoulder outside the building and he turned around and hugged me--- really friendly? i don't mind it just threw me off b/c it was one of those "i never really talked to you much in high school and here you're hugging me like we were long lost friends". so anyways, he asked what class i had and when i told him, expecting him to be like "umm ok?" he said "i'm in that too!" so i got excited for a moment there haha. so yeah we're taking a class together, who would've ever thought this would happen lol.
after class i was walking back and as i'm walking i think of this one guy who i had a mini facebook message back and forth thing with a few days ago and thought "i wonder when i'll see him on campus" b/c i haven't seen him since the spring. then a minute later i see him in the distance. SOO weird. such a weird coincidense. so we talked for like a 1/2hr and caught up on schoolness. then i met up with sheila whose bday's today, went back to my apt, ate together (my chicken that i made a few days ago), i changed for the gym, and we went to her suite. then i went off to the gym, met up there with one of my roomies, and then we came back, i showered/ate, and alik came over to watch a movie. he got a few dvd's from netflix so he asked if i wanted to watch "the jewish one" tonight. so we started watching it and like a 1/2hr before it's over he starts falling asleep on me. he wanted to leave but i said "no, just sleep i'll wake u up, i wanna see the end of this movie!" so whatever, he falls asleep. then 10min later i myself am asleep. his friend calls him and wakes us both up, then we fall asleep again (he didnt' actually answer the call), and then the movie's suddenly over and we both wake up again. sounds like a rollercoaster wake up callness thing but at the end he asks me "so did they meet up with the woman they were looking for" and i was like "uhhh i dunno??" SO we have to see the end of it but it was a reeeeally funny movie. just too late to be watching it haha.
tomorrow i have physics, then i'm volunteering up at the health center which i'm excited about learning about, with their new things i'll be doing, and then i get to teach my first class of intro to bio with this new group of students. last fall i had 2, in the spring i had 4, and now i have a class of 15. so we'll see. i hope they're good haha. tomorrow night a bunch of us including sheila, kristen, alik, katie, her roomies, one of their boyfriends, and a few others from my floor last year are all going to the cheesecake factory sometime after 4 for dinner, so that should be fun. i really hope hurrican ernesto doesn't pound us all down b/c that'd suck. weeeell, i have to be up for my 10am and it's 1:30 almost so i'm gonna catch some ZzzZzz's.
