Es schnie in Berlin...und wir machen beim zug party
Last night we jumped the public elevated train (ring-bahn) that circles Berlin, for a party. We got on at Ostkreuz station--some of us had absynth, I had beer. A D.J. had tapped into part of the trains power supply and was spinning the entire time, it was kind of amazing, bunch of raver kids and people just looking form somewhere to be/go. We made it almost all the way round; but were stopped short, about 3 stations, by the pigs; the entire circle. All in all it lasted for an hour.
My friends Alex and Toby and I then followed some other friends around to a squat party at Starkowerstraße. 2euro entrance and then 1euro beer, good deal, and lots of house music and talking to fullbright scholars about history, philosophy and politics. I had fun. This is the first saturday in about a month that I haven't had to work, I slept in till noon, and read news, now I look at my window and it's snowing.
My first snow in Berlin, mine and Vera's apartment finally feels like home.
But god do I fucking hate winter.
