Back from Houston
Sleepy.
Point form entry...
- Met lots of awesome, fun, nice people from all over North, Central, and South America
- Learned about field work, none of which I had any clue about before
- Was bored to death by all the stuff I had already done
- Fell asleep in class many times
- Consumed more alcohol this week than I have in my entire lifetime
- Stayed out too late too often, but had tons of fun
- Corporate credit cards kick ass
- Was exposed to new, awesome music
- Very curious as to why all our rooms had TWO double beds (is Schlumberger encouraging sleepover parties or something?)
- Running on 8 hours of sleep total for the past 3 days
- Somehow convinced a coworker to do karaoke
- Sang in front of large group with no private room for the first time O_o;
- Came home with a free pair of prescription safety glasses (that look like actual glasses instead of science lab goggles)
- Also got a pair of steel-toed grippy-soled uber-comfy boots
- My coveralls had to be altered because I am so short, so I didn't get to pick them up and they will be mailed to me
- Sort of amazed at how I can eat a mere third of a meal and be completely stuffed (GIANT portions)
- People there do not walk -- sidewalks were always EMPTY!
- You really don't know a coworker until you see them outside of the office environment :O
- Totally looking forward to my next training trip!
- Hoping it will be in Scotland ;D But that is not likely
