Back in the office today, wheeeeee... It's kind of eerie right now because for some reason, nobody is here yet. :P Well, not NOBODY, but it seems quite empty.
Driving yesterday was quite fun! We got to try out various maneuvers on the track. Running straight towards an elk cutout and then suddenly swerving around it was quite fun indeed!!! :D I didn't hit it, yay! One of the guys in my vehicle (we go in groups of 3) knocked it's head off the first time, and then plowed right over it the second time. That was fun too! :D
They have a crazy "Skidmaster" vehicle where the instructor can cause the rear end to fishtail and slide out, and you have to try to keep the vehicle on the road. :D I think that instructor was having way too much fun with it... The fishtailing is controlled just by flicking a switch, and he kept flicking right and left and right and left and.... VERY QUICKLY!
Backing through an obstacle course in a big pickup was much less fun and I squished a few cones. :P
All in all, a good 3-day course. Minus the boring classroom stuff that is almost exactly the same as Drivers Ed, and the Country 105 on the bus. :S
Stampede starts tomorrow... Joy. More country music overload and tourist infestation!
