Paranoid of the future....or not suprised?

We're going to war. Our friends: USA, Spain, Portugal. They're good people, decent people. All of them.

Is it the right thing to do? Well, that's irrelevant now it seems. Our armies are fighting this thing and that's what counts now. They're the people payed to do the job, and they're ready, and always have been. What they may face in the days and months ahead is beyond imagination, but they deserve our heartfelt support. And if you don't believe me.... watch Band Of Brothers. They are soldiers....the grunts told what to do, so that the suits don't have to worry. Amen.

In contrast, Politicians I have a different view of. They are irrelevant. America is not President Bush. Britain is not Tony Blair. We're supposed to be fucking democracies. Where election pledges are fulfilled. Promises are honoured.
But as I've always thought growing up....look around. Is your quality of life really better for electing these people?

When the Labour government of the UK was reelected, they promised they would fulfill the election pledges of 1997. Several months later 9/11 happened and all was forgotten. 9/11 was terrible my friends, but more people have died from IRA attacks on London than in the twin towers. Did we go to war with Ireland? Not a chance. Why? Because the USA goverment would have kicked our puny asses into touch.

And as a side note, my belief is that London is in more danger or another IRA attack than some Iraqi sympathiser.

Anyway, I know mixed emotions in this post. But I do pray that everyone gets home safely at the end of the day, and that war is a sucess. For the sake of peoples lives.

But as for Blair. I hope he has a nervous breakdown because he sure looks like he's about to have one. He's as dumb as he looks for breaking his back over diplomacy when he should have convinced us the people of Great Britain. If you don't believe me, look at pictures of him today and compare them with that of 1997.....

That's what extreme stress and worry will do to you.
