Weekend of DOOM
Right, this is getting old. Just about every weekend, Mokko keeps getting called into work because people don't show up. Seriously, getting very old. I am going to confiscate her phone on weekends if this continues, it's the only thing I can think of to stop her from going in.
So the tournament went down well enough the other day. I was finally Knighted. Huzzah. Got my spurs and everything, and they're awesome. It was great. I was out playing Field Marshall, and Dean asks me to suit up and get in a scrap or two during our exhibition rounds (which was somewhat a tip-off) and I obliged. So I pass of the Marshalling duty and suit up. Now my Marshalling outfit is pretty plain looking. I pop into the tent, I come out with the Sir William Marshall gear on. Shiny steel and brass gauntlets, helmet, chain mail. Really got people's attention. Did a few scraps, lots of acting involved. And then Dean goes through the motions, presents the spurs, and the crowd goes nuts. Very cool.
Next tournament on July 11 is canceled, because we have an event the day before, which would really turn that weekend into another Weekend of DOOM.
On that note, I think I'm going to kidnap Mokko and go somewhere next weekend to ensure she doesn't get called in to work...
