why work on your c++ assignment when you can spend your time doing other important things, like this. I dunno, I just thought I would update everyone on how things are going....
Right now, my grades look pretty good (knocks on wood) I usually blow that when finals come around, but thankfully 3 of my classes dont have finals, so that should make things a little more bearable. The next month is going to be complete hell. Every week I have atleast FOUR major things going on (be it major exams, big projects, or papers). I stay up till 4 am atleast twice a week just trying to keep up. I'm not gonna complain anyore about it because college is still fun and thats what is important.
I found out on Friday that I got my Hy-Vee retail technology internship... I made a little map to detail where I will be all summer, I will spend most weekends at home, and part of monday in Des Moines, but the rest of the time I will be at a few Hy-Vees here: (Dates are "week of")
(Each "Zone" has 10-30 Hy-Vee's in it, and I will only visit a few of those stores... by no means will I be at all 200 sum odd stores this summer)
I think it sounds pretty exciting. We are going to be replacing all of the systems in stores that are 5 years old this year. Ironically, my "home store" turned 5 in March, so that means I will be spending a few days there. When we aren't putting in new systems, we will be updating and cleaning the current computers, as well as setting up a backup Windows server at each store. I also get the week of July 4th off (my bday is July 6th) to celebrate Independence Day. That means that I will be located somewhat near to my house or at my house for about 5 weeks... not a bad deal. Its going to be a lot of driving, but it pays well and all travel expenses are covered. Anyway, it will definetly be a lot different compared to what I've been doing the last few summers.
Thats about all I have to report.. so im gonna plug away at c++ for a while and then hit the sack. night all.
