We were born and raised in a summer haze

Brace yourself; this is a long rambling entry. Turn back now if you're concerned about thought continuity!

OMG less than two weeks until school starts! AHHH!

I'm actually really excited. Now that I have a full year under my belt, I feel confident that I know what I'm doing. Teaching music theory will be new, but it's one of those things that I understand really well. I also taught a lot of it to my piano students last year. No biggie (I hope). The most stressful part is figuring out where to order the books from...

This weekend is CFOA (central florida officials association) BEACH WEEKEND! I don't know if I mentioned this, but Joe has been taking classes all summer with the CFOA to become a high school football official! This fall he will start officiating freshman and jv games. :-) I'm really excited for him. So this weekend, they are all getting together for some jamboree games and I get to relax in Cocoa Beach for a few days. :-)

Let's see...I'm just a jumble of thoughts and words today....

Josh leaves for Yale next week. It has been wonderful having him home all summer, even though I live 40 minutes away. He's going to have a blast though! I'm really proud of him.

Speaking of grad school, I'm starting the application process! Yikes! I really want to go to Northwestern, but UT, LSU, and FSU are also possibilities. I get all nervous and jittery every time I think about the application process....

Lastly, I finally made my balcony look cute. :-)

Not a bad view, huh? ;-)
