To start off, I got a job at a natural food store. I bring home the bacon-flavored tofu.
We are now chanting in latin.
I briefly considered chaining myself to (or taking up residence in) one of a line of local trees that are being MURDERED by town planners who are fussy about "cracks in the pavement" and don't care about air quality or saving the world. I was convinced to save my energy for bigger issues.
We're lost somewhere in the large grey area between hippie work ethics (just throw some patchouli oil on for now... it'll get clean when it rains) and monkish ones (control your body with hard labor)... but the cool thing is I am making cleaning products out of non-toxic materials such as oils and vinegars and lemon juice. The cleaning is slow going but it smells good.
The dominant paradigm is being subverted. My wife reads about the lives of the saints on their appointed feast days, and when there is no saint appointed, I read about a heretic, preferably one who lived a little more like Jesus than like medieval bishops.
um, i'll try to think of other funny things to say later. The blog will probably be filled with rantings on the "natural" food industry for much of the summer. Seriously -- $6 energy bars???
