Time for the semiannual LJ update!
So, it's not that I have all that much to say; I just feel bad for never posting anything. I never feel like I have anything interesting to say. :-P
First off, BIG CONGRATS to one Ms. Jean F. Smart for getting an Emmy nom this year! I thought Season 6 was a big travesty all the way around, but you can't say Jean didn't act her butt off in 6x13! LOOOOOVE HER. Why the whole world isn't bowing at her feet, I have no idea. She totally deserved to win last year, but the Stupid People Epidemic has reached Hollywood, and they are now in charge. *crosses fingers for this year*
In other news, I've been writing and recording songs with my guitar teacher! He has a multitrack recorder, and can lay all the individual tracks so it sounds like we have a band. :D It's GREAT fun singing into the big mic like an actual recording artist. I've done two so far, and am working on the third, which is a Bonnie Raitt-ish kind of blues/rock song. I'm trying to write enough for a cd. Mike has a friend that works at a radio station in Houston, and he wants to play them on the station. That would be so cool, I don't even know what to say--especially since I've basically been too shy to sing ALL MY LIFE. Anyhoo. :-) If anyone who hasn't heard the other two wants to hear, shoot me an email.
I think I'll save the rest for another post. I mean, this happens so rarely, I don't want to shoot the whole wad all at once. LOL.
