Sometimes I wonder if perhaps I missed my calling as a teacher.
Actually, that's a lie. I know that I wouldn't want to do this shit full time. :-) BUT! For now, i adore subbing. The kids are so much fun. Plus, they always tell me I'm pretty when they first see me. HAHA That's nice validation. I mean, when a 6 or 8 year old says your pretty, it has to be the truth. Little kids can be brutally honest. :-) This week I got to teach a range of grades- 1st, 3rd, 8th, high schoolers, 5th and tomorrow I got 6th grade science.
I love that they keep calling me. I mean, that must mean I'm doing it right....right?!
I've also been VERY good about working out three times a week. I just finished week 3 of making it to Curves three times a week. I feel pretty good about that.
On another note, MY LISA GETS HERE TOMORROW! I am so incredibly excited for this weekend. Especially after working all week, I am really looking forward to this weekend off. Tomorrow Lisa will be here and the plan is to meet up with a few people at TJ's [Kal! You're in, right?? I mean, I'll even be having a beer! HAHA] then head to Club La Salle for a drink. It'll be an early night since we have to be up by 8-830 to head to CHICAGO!!! with Mike.
I am very much looking forward to this trip with Mike and Lisa. I keep thinking of the bummer conversation Mike initiated on our way back from last years trip. I'm glad we proved him wrong. ;-) I can't wait to go to the museum, eat at the Grand Lux Cafe, walk the Magnificant Mile and drink and just get a chance to hang and catch up. I never get to see Mike, so I'm looking forward to it.
Lisa and I are gonna do breakfast, her and I, Sunday morning for some extra bonding time. :-) I'm excited for that as well.
The best part?! I'm not working AT ALL this weekend. I won't have to head to work early and cut my quality time with Lisa short. :-)
