day 13 after my bunion surgery. you can still see the betadine stain on my toes. i haven't stepped out of the house for almost two weeks (except for our backyard)! k has been wonderful... doing the cooking, all the housework, carrying me up and down the stairs and everything in between. i am going to cherish these moments! but i really miss the freedom of being able to get up and move around, and go out. i can't wait when these casts come off in 5 weeks!! these days i do a lot of tv watching and playing wii. and fortunately my company is flexible enough to allow me to work from home. i can start to walk a little with the aid of a walking frame, like a little old lady.
it was the first time i've really been in a hospital...sleep in a hospital bed, undergo general anaesthetic, pee in a bed pan and have a stranger wipe my bottom. i will remember the kindess of the nurses.
my parents are babysitting bella.
