my body still thinks it's on holidays
it is almost midway through summer, and finally tonight we have switched to a summer quilt. early this morning i broke out in a sweat, realising just how hot i was underneath the fluffy goosedown doona. anyway, it was first day back at work today from my 10 day break, very quiet noise wise but busy. the past week and a bit has been great... relaxing.. dinner celebrations and a cocktail party.. i really felt like i was actually away from work. spending nye watching the double fireworks from miss j's new apartment was so nice and the view of victoria harbour was beautiful. i also went to a costume party dressed up as dr yang from gray's anatomy. it was fun.
tonight we had home-made sukiyaki before settling on the sofa to watch 'before sunrise' and 'before sunset' on dvd. i remember watching before sunrise for the first time when i was still in high school, and ethan hawke was my then crush. the story means much more to me now watching it for the second time. it's so easy to fall in love with both their characters.
