Summary: Ryan is ashamed of himself for hitting a woman. But in the end it turns out surprisingly well for him.

Ryan stared, guilt-ridden, at the floor of his office. He was usually as cool as a cucumber. And beating a woman was not at all in his nature.
But he’d done exactly that this morning. He'd chucked his fist right into the smiling face of a woman and knocked her front teeth out.
His parents would be ashamed of him and Stephen Hart certainly wouldn't even consider going out on a date with such a brute.
Giving in to his depressing thoughts, Ryan didn't notice the man moving towards him.
"Way to go!" Lester said loudly and startled Ryan out of his reverie.
Ryan still searched for the right words to apologise for his misbehaviour as Lester handed him two plane tickets to Newcastle upon Tyne for the next day.
"Check out the rumours about strange creatures in the locker room of the Newcastle Falcons with Hart. I'm sure it's nonsense but I have to get the Home Secretary off my back. The manager of the rugby club has good connections."
Lester was already two steps away as he turned around once more. "And don’t come back before you have used up your excess energy. The Falcons certainly won’t mind if you join in on their training for a few days."
Completely stunned, Ryan just managed to utter a, "Yes, Sir!" before Lester vanished through the door.
The next visitor was Claudia Brown, giving him a whole box of Bendick's Mint Collection without reason.
Cutter arrived with a Walker’s Glenfiddich Whisky Cake, shoved it in Ryan's arms and departed just as quickly as Claudia had done.
In the afternoon, Connor surprised him with Ryan's working mp3 player. The device had been broken weeks ago and since then had lain in Connor’s desk drawer, waiting to be repaired.
Shortly after Connor, Abby showed up and gave him a season ticket for the zoo and a hug.
Still pondering about the unusual behaviour of his team members, Ryan set out to the infirmary to enquire about the woman he'd hurt so badly.
He'd just entered the corridor as he was pushed against the wall and his face got peppered with kisses.
"My hero," Stephen whispered and planted a kiss right on Ryan's mouth. "I just heard about our next assignment. They say there are great restaurants in Newcastle and nice hotel beds as well."
A big smile spread across Ryan's face and he pulled Stephen close for another kiss.
If that was what he got for beating Helen Cutter up he would gladly do it again.
