Ah yes, I loved Fable 2. Simplified combat, but a much better story and world to inhabit.

If you want a real life absorber, try Fallout 3.

It's on my list, but I'm going to be stuck with Fable for a while. :) I just spend too much time messing around to ever finish it quickly. Also, once I'm done, I have to do it again as a girl.

Do you use Xbox Live at all?

Didn't have much replayability Fable, wasn't really any difference playing it as a boy or a girl.

And nope, sadly, I don't have my xbox hooked up to the internet. Tried to once, but it didn't seem to want to work, and I got irritated faffing about with cables and modems and failures to connect.

We had trouble too - so much for plug and play. It is very annoying to see all the smug families on the box having such a good time when you're stuck with a controller that you have no way of charging and can't get online with about an hour of fussing about with the router.

It's all working fine now though, mostly thanks to Becky and her l33t ski11z. :)

I probably will replay through Fable. I'm not a completest, but I just really enjoy the series that much. I want to have a boy and a girl I can just pick up and jump into their silly little virtual lives.

My first Fable 2 wife got killed by Hobbes. :(

See I couldnt even figure out if my router was working properly, or where the fault lay. Which is why I just gave up. Well, that and I had no Becky with leet skillz to fix it for me. :)

I played through it as a girl. I tend to think with these games, if I'm going to be spending 8-12 hours looking at somebodies backside in a game, it might as well be a girls backside.

After a lot of messing around, we sorted it by restoring the router to factory defaults. Worked straight away. Ironically, the biggest frustration was that the Xbox doesn't tell you it's IP address. It has one. But it is a secret, so as to not confuse idiots. Ugh.

Understand your choice of character gender. Well played, Sir!

Yeah, see, i would never have thought to restore a router to factory defaults.

My other problem with the old xbox is its in another room, nowhere near my PC. And I don't have wireless. So...

Except do you not need to buy a wireless adaptor for the xbox anyway?
