Cat-Chaos!
It's no secret that I like Monster Hunter. Rebecca bought me MHF preowned for my PSP today, so I could relive some of my PS2 MH memories. Awesome!
I just wanted to make a quick post extolling the virtues of the felyne arena mission in MHF. See, in MHF2, you can download the quest and have a go. Smash the cats, get the bags they drop, hope you don't get something stolen. However, in MHF, this stage is a balls-to-the-wall, white-knuckle chaos-fest of a battle! There are no pick ups and the felynes don't drop anything. So it is just pure combat. What makes this cool is that the felynes in MHF are not the pussies (pun intended) that they are in MHF2. The attack you with picks! They gang up on you in threes and fours! They throw grenades! They make kamikaze runs at you with large barrel bombs! Awesome! Serious fun to be had there. The felynes are dead. Long live the felynes!
