Home again...drat
Ya know, every time I leave the Island it gets waaaaaay harder. I am determined now to move back to the coast as soon as possile. I had a great time in my week out there, glad I got to see a bunch of good old true blue friends. Some I didn't see enough of, and fully expect to get razzed about that, but it's not easy traveling the island up and down with 2 people and a limited budget and no car.
Spent a day in Vic, a few days in Honeymoon Bay, a night in Duncan, a day in Shawnigan, and a night n day in Sidney/Langford, a decent trip for a week I think. (still regretting not being able to get to hang out with 2 particular sisters in cobble hill and sooke) We'll have words you two.
I really found out again how much love there is out there, no matter how different we all get. By the way why is it that some of you only see each other when I come out there? Thats kinda fuct up.
The wedding was awesome, had a really good time even though I was a DD a still someone made me take a breathalyzer test. HA! IN YOUR FACE!
Some drunk chick challeged me to a "I'll drink you under the table" contest that day, but I really don't think she relalized who she was talking to, so I'll let it pass. she used to scare me in junoir high *lol*
Seeing burdengene was cool, even though I was up way too late that night, but it was nice to see those guys play live for the first time since I've heard all the songs lots.
Got to spend some good quality time with my Uncle and cousins in langford, that was extremely important to me seeing as how my uncle is very ill right now, he needs some family around for him, and I got to be there.
Spent a night with an aunt too, drunken stupidity ensued as usual, but damn she lives in a nice place right now. I woke up and looked out the window from bed and had a perfect view of Saltspring Island across the water. that was the perfect thing to see on the day I had to fly back.
Umm spent alot of time in honeymoon bay at the old mans place, tanned too much, wicked couple o BBQ's, broke and fixed his paddle boated, snorkled, treasure hunted, and annoyed the hell outta him, fun stuff.
First day was sweet, Matty picked us up at the airport, saw his ma and went for breaky and stuff, but I think i put that in the last message.
