This picture? Mori can play basketball, that's good form. I like him 1000x more now.
Maniche having to be stopped urgently enough to hack him down is a very odd thing to me, just as odd as Ruud doing it. (Was Maniche in his own box? What was going on?) How was the Greek? I assume he played, since he was deemed fit enough to play for the NT last week? Ujfi? Recovered from the suck, I gather, since there was only one goal?
Y'know, I was looking at his little follow-through motion as compared to the general incompetence of his teammates and thinking he might have played some basketball too. It makes sense considering his height and ability to jump like a kangaroo. (Should've known the way to your heart was via b-ball rather than short shorts. :p
( ... )
You can totally tell he's played just by how he holds his body, and where he's looking. Maybe next season he can come to Inter instead of the Gulf and teach them how to hoop? Because when Inter play basketball, to a man they just look awful. (lol I don't know how in the world you got such a terribly wrong impression in the first place.)
I guess the Greek is resting up for Liverpool? Damn, I'm so going to have to watch that, even if it's via Tivo. Is Ujfi hurt long-term?! Crap. I looked @ the pics and he looks bad even before he's hurt -- all pale and scrawny. Maybe the Greek being hurt caused him more trouble than we thought. (Oh god, poor Colombian! How old is he?)
*weeps* I don't want him out of La Liga! but if has to go, Inter would be better, though he'd never get any playing time with all th damn up and coming strikers. *grumbles* and I've noticed the awful b-ball, it must be painful for you to watch them fumbling about. :p (This is football! I expected a bit more leg appreciation from you! Not covered leg appreciation
( ... )
Hhe could hang out with Toldo -- they could bond over their old age, and shared sunny outlooks! He'd be happy and play a useful, basketball-coaching role. (I appreciate the game, not the legs. *stifles laughter*)
Kun rested for the first half yesterday, right? And they survived! More than survived, at least if my few glimpses are anything to go by -- did Maniche have a clearly on-side goal called back? (He's 29?! Oh lord. There's no hope for that one at ALL.)
Mori isn't Toldo over the hill yet! :p He's 32! And thinking on it more, it'd be more of the same, he wants to leave Valencia because the young strikers are freezing him out, the only change would be these younger strikers would be taller and even cockier. I am willing to see Inter invite him over to shoot hoops and scrimmage though, the thought of him beating Zlatan on the court delights me. (*falls over laughing* I'm sure you do appreciate the game, we'll just put Zlatan in a nun's habit then, see if it affects your enjoyment at all. :p)
Yes, though they were a bit better in the 2nd half when he came in. And yes, Maniche's goal was soooo~ onside, the ref was dubious. Maniche was practically gnashing his teeth! (I was horrified when I realized! He doesn't play like he has all that experience!)
OI! Toldo isn't over the hill! I'll have you know started yesterday and made an important save on Old Man Dellas! *falls on the floor laughing at the thought of Mori and his towel running around in Inter training while the giants try not to step on him* Zlatan would probably brutally foul Mori to keep him from getting to the rim, I'm not sure that match-up is a good idea at all. Maybe he can play the Argies instead? I bet Javi looks completely ridiculous shooting a basketball, and needs a ton of help. (AHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!! Imagine him in a habit, doing the raptor-pounce at Mancio last season. I would LOVE that.)
That's what I thought! He was onside by many yards, it wasn't even close! I bet his eyes were popping out of his head in disbelief. How was the Greek? I saw that he was involved in Simao's goal by making the wise choice to the throw the ball in to the right guy for the launch forward. Good work, well-rested Greek.
*patpat* I saw! Yeah, they still let good old Toldo out from time to time, it's good! *glares* Zlatan would be cheating! That's unfair! And Mori's had experience with Argies, he even already knows Cambiasso, so I suppose that would work. He would totally laugh at Javi and his huge thighs being unable to make a basket though. (God, you would with your twisted sense of humor. zlatan would love it too. that's why you two are such a good match. Imagine if he'd taken up the nun habit instead of straightening his hair!)
Totally. Maniche was all fired up yesterday too, he's been chomping at the bit. I was watching Chelsea at the same time, so I couldn't say I registered much Greek. I saw him! But I didn't see him shooting on goal or defending terribly, so he didn't stand out to me. :p
BTW, What the hell? *tries not to notice the awesome yellow swoosh and white trim on the socks*
it's basketball, man! Like when Liverpool and Chelsea just kicked Quaresma to stop him -- you do what you gotta do. There are punishments in place, these things are expected. Now that you mention his thighs, I feel like Javi could help Frey out with his chafing problem -- his are way bigger than Seb's, but he doesn't have to diaper his shorts in order to survive. (*is pleased* Just imagine for a second the habit blowing out behind him as he bounds toward Mancio. Gorgeous!)
Some of the reports claim the Greek had a goal called back, but I never actually went to look for evidence -- if they're confusing him with Maniche, though, I'm going to cry.
[I saw that, cringed, then quickly decided Manninger had to catch him to keep one or both for them from getting hurt. He didn't WANT to have anything to do with Chiellini, though. Definitely not.]
And this is why I don't like basketball! Brutal sport! Brutal! (My mother has complained that every time she sees football on the TV, somebody is writhing on the ground in pain. :p I have no rebuttal.) At least Mori looks like he can make all the free throws he'd earn thanks to the rampant bullying. (I admit, it would be cool. And Zlatan's nose would look awesome peaking out of a habit. This should be in a film.)
Hmmm. I couldn't say? And they don't seem to be rebroadcasting either, the bastards.
[It was a question of life and limb, I understand! Doesn't explain the joyful expressions on their faces, but I understand. :p]
You like football, you're not allowed to reject basketball for alleged brutality! And there's really not THAT much hacking, at least not of the smaller people -- Mori and his free throw skillz would be just fine. (lol My dad's law-partner got into football during WC 2006, and she was furious that people would kick Zidane. FURIOUS.) (It should! They made that weird Flying Nun thing with Sally Field, a Zlatan nun movie would be a billion times more interesting.)
[Well, I mean, they were pleased to have won, it's just that Manninger must have had other people in mind with whom he'd have preferred to celebrate. Like, you know, Camo! *panders*]
In football you don't jamb your thumb on the ball! And they can't blatantly elbow you as much flailing their longass arms around! Because they're mostly kicking. Mori is 6'2 btw, not too small. :p (lol It's almost charming how innocent they are.) (For sure! We'll have our agents approach Zlatan and suggest he make the film during the off season. Helena would love it!)
[Oh, that is such foul play! CAMO JUMPING ON MANNINGER WOULD BE ONE OF THE MOST ADORABLE THINGS EVER AND YOU KNOW IT! OMG! *gets lost in the adorableness of it all* I give up, you win this argument, I am defenseless after that. :p Ranieri broke Camo btw. *weeps* I'm without Camo, you're without a victorious Corini, we are sisters in sorrow.)
6'2" is very small for basketball players! Of the 16 guys in the Knicks roster right now, only four are Mori-sized or smaller (and one of them is a 5'8" freak of nature who can fly, so he shouldn't even count)! (I'm imagining a huge, demon grin as he hears our plans -- Zlatan would be so pleased. We're so on our way to a career in film production.)
[*snickers* I KNOW! IT WOULD BE INSANELY CUTE! *shakes fist really, really hard at Ranieri* In addition to the Camo/Manninger glomping, the whole match today I was missing Corini -- what the game needed was some hair-pulling, Nedved was far too comfortable in the midfield.]
It's on the small end, but as you say, there's always be the little flying peewees to look lord those extra inches over :p (It'd be so much better than those silly commercials he films with Hugh Laurie and Uma Thurman.)
[They didn't play Corini?! How foolish of them! He would've laid the law on Nedved for sure. Maybe he got his hair pulling on in the tunnel afterwards, though. :p]
I'm quite sure Nate (or N8 the Gr8, as he prefers to be known) could jump over Mori. :p (At least those will have given him green-screen experience for the flying scenes!)
[He's hurt! He went off early against Cagliari with one of those undefined, old man injuries, and wasn't even on the bench yesterday. And, bizarrely, his appointed heir didn't play, and neither did their only other playmaking midfielder. Instead, they stuck a back in the midfield and failed utterly at anything approximating passing. Boo Toro. BOO!]

[Doh! Tragedy! And bad tactics. :p Think of the difference Corini or his heir in hair pulling would've made!]
