Roma v Empoli
Giuly's got his over exuberant goal celebrating form back!
And a different one
You realize Juve stacked the deck against Roma by lending that little pipsqueak Sebastian Giovinco to Empoli, right? The guy is only 5'4, shorter and younger than Giuly. He went against Roma's shortest players (Cicinho, Pizarro, Giuly), and eventually his shortness allowed him to score a goal. Darn Juve. But at least Giuly scored first.
Inter v Juve
I think I'll have to agree what everybody who saw the match was saying, it would have been very satisfying if Zlatan had just beaked some Juve players off the pitch. *sigh* But this new mature Zlatan doesn't do that anymore, he's a team player. But the supportive goal celebration was very sweet, don't you think?
La Liga
Valencia (Morientes)
He got injured challenging for an air ball today:(
At least it's not the shoulder again. but he looks pained either way. And it never looks good when your shoe comes off.
As usual, I immediately went and looked at pics of better times to soothe myself.
And do you realize Henrik beat Freddie's old club, Hamlstads, 9-0 the last week of October? And he's just like 'ho-hum, don't see a result like that often.' :p I wonder if the Swedish nationals abroad ever see what Henrik and Helsingborgs are doing to their home clubs, if they ever shake their fist at the sky and promise vengeance some day. Ah, vendetta.
And go here to see some Cristiano-centric animated gifs, including the one of Tomas taking a brief respite on his lap from this weekend. And here to see Cesc telling Rio to eff off while hugging Theo (Cesc is a punk, okay? I have never been in denial about that. :p) and a clip of a shirtless Cris hugging Cesc after the game. The gifs are to big for my Imageshack accounts, so I couldn't link them myself. And finally, here to see Cris with his young proteges Nani and Anderson out on the town. Hahaha, just looking at that sentence makes me laugh.
ETA: Added vid of Cesc mocking Anderson. I wonder if Cristiano will impart some wisdom to him about how to handle the more physical game of the Premiership since he's been there, done that with the tackles and the tantrums. :p Grow up quickly, little Anderson!
