“When was the last time we went on a date?” Ryosuke whined as he twirled the end of Daian's lock of hair while the girl just shrugged in reply, her eyes not leaving her phone.
That got Ryosuke upset as he stopped twirling his girlfriend's hair and sat up straight.
“I'll tell you then.” Ryosuke's voice was filled with haughtiness. “It's been three whole months - an exact 91 days!”
“And what do you want me to say?” Daian gave Ryosuke an innocent look - the main cause that got Ryosuke totally head over heels over her. “You are one of Japan's most famous teenagers, and probably one of the busiest ones too.” She giggled at her own comment. “So how could I possibly-” she pecked his chubby cheeks. “-hog you all by myself?” She gave him a mischievous smile.
Ryosuke sighed. Daian is always like this - trying to comfort him, but at the same time, making him feel guilty for not being able to be with her most of the times.
Maybe it's time to tell her my decision? Ryosuke thought. But what if she- argh! Who cares about that! I shall do it like a man!
“Daian-chan?”
“Hmm?”
“Put down your phone.” He ordered.
Daian looked up to meet Ryosuke's gaze. Seeing those eyes filled with stubbornness, Daian sighed. She had no choice but to give in. Once her hands were free, Ryosuke took them into his immediately.
“Daian-chan, what do you say if we-”
“Ah, sorry Ryo, I got to pick a call.” Daian stuck out her tongue apologetically as she withdrew her hands to pick up her phone.
There goes one chance. Ryosuke sighed as he waited for his girl to end her conversation over the phone.
“You were saying?” Daian smiled as she put her phone away.
Forcing out another smile, Ryosuke took her hands again and restarted his sentence. “I was saying, what if we-”
“Ryo?”
“Now what?!” The smile was wiped off his face as Ryosuke tried to suppress himself from yelling at his girlfriend.
“Your phone...” Daian replied meekly as she pointed to his phone lying on the table. “It's ringing...” she ended softly.
Seeing that his phone was indeed ringing, Ryosuke sighed and released his grip on Daian to pick it up.
“Yes?” He spoke through the phone with suppressed anger.
“Oh Yama-chan?”
It was Daiki.
“It's me. What do you want?” Ryosuke asked tiredly. Right not, he wasn't in the mood to be talking to anyone other than Daian.
“Ah, it's like this. Chinen said that he's hungry so I was wondering if-”
“I get it! I'll bring something back for him alright? So bye!” Ryosuke hung up and switched off his phone.
He would not let another phone get in his way of finishing his very important sentence.
“Now, back to what I was about to say.” Ryosuke sat up straight and straightened his clothes before taking her hands in his again for the third time. “Daian-chan, would you… marry me?”
Daian froze for a short moment before she smirked. “Why would I?” She questioned teasingly as she took back her hands.
Knowing where she is coming from, Ryosuke chuckled and nodded to himself. Daian might have the face and the heart of an angel, but when it comes to him, she can turn into his little devil sometimes, making it hard for him to get what he wants. Fortunately, Ryosuke knows exactly what she wants - she wants him to do something to surprise her - and that is exactly what he has.
Going nearer towards her, Ryosuke pressed his lips against hers before pulling away.
“Because you can't resist me and you know it.” He smirked before taking her hands in his once again and held it tight. “And this time, I'm not letting you go again.”
