Summary: Since last year, Yukiko and Ryosuke had been a very loving pair. But when Yukiko's class made a visit to an orphanage that Ryosuke missed out on, that is where she realised about the cruelty of reality; something that had never crossed her mind.

“Like I’ve said, there is nothing going on between the both of us!” Ryosuke hollered for the umpteenth time as he stormed into the classroom.
“Nothing?” Akira smirked. “I don’t believe you. How can nothing happen between the both of you when Yukiko is ignoring you?” Akira stated the fact. “Yukiko have never ignored you before and if she DOES ignore you, something serious must have happened.”
Ryosuke sighed in frustration as he flopped into his seat at the front of the classroom.
“Akira, there is really nothing going on! If you don’t believe me, ask Yuki-chan. She’s just at the back.” Ryosuke pointed to the back with a heck care attitude as he sprawled on his table.
“I want to ask her too but she isn’t here!” Akira answered immediately.
Akira’s comment seemed to surprise Ryosuke as he lifted his head from the table and turned behind. As Akira had said, Yukiko really wasn’t at her table, which was weird because Yukiko will always report to the classroom without fail once she reached the school.
“Excuse me,” Ryosuke grabbed the arm of one of the girl who happened to walk past his table, “do you know where Yuki-chan went?”
“Yukiko-san?” That girl looked around uneasily. “She…”
“Spill it lady, I know you know where Yukiko is.” Akira threatened. Being the cousin of Chinen Yuri, Akira was respected by the female population, but also feared by them if she ever bears grudges with them.
“She left with Shida-san.” The girl trembled in fear and when Ryosuke let her go after getting his answer, the girl immediately scrambled out of the classroom.
“Shida-san? As in Shida Mirai?” Akira questioned Ryosuke, who was already standing up and getting ready to sprint off any time. “Isn’t she the one that had a HUGE crush on you?”
Ryosuke cursed under his breath before pushing Akira out of the way as he dashed out of the classroom, almost crashing into Chinen and Yuto, who were entering the classroom. Without even greeting them, Ryosuke sprinted down the hallway.
Filled with curiosity, Chinen and Yuto went up to Akira.
“What is his problem this time?” Chinen asked casually as he pointed to the hallway, which clearly indicates that he’s asking about Ryosuke.
Akira sighed as she flopped into Ryosuke’s seat. “A VERY serious one. Who knows, they might never be able to patch things up again.”
“Huh?” Yuto gave the confused look and Chinen copied him. “They? As in Yukiko and Yama-chan?”
Akira nodded restlessly. “Those two are finally having a lover’s tiff.”

“Spill it!” Shida yelled as her two followers flunked Yukiko onto the floor of the hall.
Yukiko sighed as she stood up calmly and dusted the dust off her skirt. She looked up at Shida and sighed. “Spill what? As far as I’m concern, I’ve done nothing against you.”
Shida stepped forward and delivered a tight slap on Yukiko’s face, causing her left cheek to turn red. “You’re adopted aren’t you? Your real parents don’t even want you. What right do you have to be with Ryosuke-kun?” She glared.
Not that question again… Yukiko sighed. She knew this issue would be raised sooner or later. After all, she IS going out with the school’s prince, and as far as she is concern, the female population of her school only allows their prince to go out with the perfect girl, and obviously, she isn’t in that category now, since her secret is out.
“I’ve got nothing to say. It is just like what you have heard. I am adopted.” Yukiko answered tiredly.
Shida smirked. “Is that so? Great.” Shida crossed her arms across her chest. “Then break up with Ryosuke-kun and let me take care of him instead. After all, I AM better than you in so many other ways.”
Yukiko gave a weak smile; A smile that is filled with sarcasm and annoyance.
“Try taking him away then. That is, if you are capable to.”
Yukiko threw down her simple reply and started making her way out of the hall. Unfortunately, Shida wouldn’t let her go just like that.
She ran up to Yukiko and pushed her onto the ground. Then she retrieved a palm-sized balloon that was filled with water and aimed it directly at Yukiko’s head. The balloon burst and the icy cold water followed the lines of her bangs and flowed down onto her shirt. Seeing their leader doing so, the other two girls took out their balloons and aimed it at Yukiko’s head. As the balloons hit her, Yukiko felt a wave of pain in her head like a thousand grenades, and she felt as if all of her energy was slowly seeping out of her.
“Yuki-chan!”
A familiar voice echoed across the hall and Yukiko looked up with tired eyes. A rather familiar blurred figure was standing at the door, half panting. She couldn’t see his face clearly, but she already knew who it was.
“Ryosuke-kun…” Shida’s voice trailed off as an angry Ryosuke stormed up to them. When he reached Yukiko, he bent down and brushed her wet fringe aside. “Ryosuke-kun, I can explain. It was all-”
“Save your explanation for later Mirai,” Ryosuke cut in coldly as he picked Yukiko up bridal-style. “We’ll settle this later.” He sent her and her companions a cold glare before striding off with a half-unconscious Yukiko in his arms.

Oh, and to all Shida Mirai's fans, I'm so sorry making Mirai-chan the bad guy here but I really love her. I really do! She's such a wonderful actor! So no hard feelings kay? Sorry. :(
