Hello, y'all!
As Granny Weatherwax would tell you with a bit of cardboard held to her chest: I ATEN'T DEAD.
I've just been incredibly busy generating content. I'm working on a number of reviews - ranging from
yuki_onna's The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making to Felicia Day's The Guild (Season 2) to Alastair Reynold's Troika to
zhai's Sword of Fire and Sea. I'm setting up interviews (including one with Mira Grant), working with guest bloggers, and am getting deeper into a Sekrit Project with a Very Cool Lady.
I'm also working on videos - ranting about Cowboys & Aliens, making fun of various film trailers, and a tutorial on Recognizing Fantastic Beings in Cat Valente's The Habitation of the Blessed.
Speaking of working on videos - I made my first video the other day to accustom myself to talking to a camera. It's just a silly meme from Tumblr exploring regional accents, but check it out if you like:

We obviously have to work on the lighting situation, and I need to relax some more. It's a work in progress.
Speaking of Tumblr, if you like that service, I'm over there as
GeekDame and try to stay active during the week.
I also try to stay active on Twitter - you all know I have
@talkstowolves, but I'm honestly much more active
@geekdame. I talk about random geeky things A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT and am also generally uncouth and profane. If you're interested, feel free to follow me.
And now - now I will be turning off all this social media to get back to actually producing work for you to read. Did I mention that I'm also working on a novel, tentatively titled Weaving Havoc? Urban fantasy, old-school sibyls, new-school sibyls, and rewriting time. More on that anon!
Also, BAM. New icon. (Art by the lovely
Lorraine Schleter who does
my GeekDame website illustrations.)
P.S. Other occupiers of my time have been dealing with TMJD being all nasty, and researching my thesis on liminal spaces and Charlotte Mew. I MUST DO ALL THE THINGS.
