A Feast of The Honey Month Icons

Feb 14, 2011 16:05

Not only is this Monday the feast of love, but a feast of The Honey Month icons!

If you don't recall the where and why of these icon sets, allow me to give you a refresher from last week:

Two years ago, Danielle Sucher sent Amal El-Mohtar a host of honey vials and together they dashed headlong into a month-long creative project. ... In the end, The Honey Month was born. It has since been published by Papaveria Press, in a lovely little paperback volume with limited editions to follow. The collection is utterly intoxicating, full of beautiful imagery and stirring tableaus.

This February, Amal is providing commentary on each piece that composes the collection, and inviting readers to revisit the original posts (which, being written daily, may differ from the final pieces printed in the Papaveria Press volume). If you'd like to read along, you can find these posts at tithenai. (You should absolutely read along!)

... And I have gleefully committed to making at least two icons for each honeyed creation! You can find them in the comments of each commentary post, but I'll also be doing round-ups like this one each week.

You can find the first set of icons here.

Now for that feast:
