Why do you keep telling us to stop? Stop what?

Not stop like a command, STOP like a period in a telegraph. Don't any of you 21st century folks know your history?

Is that like text messaging?

Text messaging? Well it sends messages in text form over long distance, if that helps.

I text from a phone if I bother to do it at all. Dunno about your way of doing it.

So you've got like a phone and a telegraph in one?

Uh...well, some of them play videos and stuff, but I never used that function on mine. Rukia's could detect Hollows, though.

Woah hey, go slow there, I've got almost 120 years to catch up on here.

What's a video and what's a Hollow?

Really? Where the heck are you from?

Videos are-like moving pictures with sound. And Hollows are sort of-bad spirits. Monsters, kinda. But I haven't seen any around since I've been here.

Don't feel like I'm really "from" anywhere, but I tend to be around San Francisco, when I'm not on the trail. And I tell ya, I knew moving pictures were gonna be big someday. Good thing they got sound coordinated with them. Not all the piano players who played the music for them were Mozart, if you know what I mean.

Monsters, huh? No relation to the monsters here, then?

...sounds like you're a long way from home. I mean, we all are-but I think you're from elsewhere in time, too. Huh. So people used to play pianos at the movies? Weird.

No. I almost wish they were. I could deal with those better.

Geez kid, what's your school been teaching you? Movies didn't have sound, so any dialogue was text on the screen and the soundtrack was played live. Most of the music sounded alot alike too so it got real old after a while.

I see. Haven't seen 'em yet, but from what I hear that's a good thing.
