Try as he might, sleep wouldn’t take no for an answer forever. It hadn’t crept up on him or drifted over him but had clubbed him over the head. Or maybe, he thought as Sincie carefully picked her way down the slopes, it was like Curt had mentioned once about surgery he’d had years ago: no drowsiness, just looking up at the doctor one minute and ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for these wonderful updates! I love this story... have been reading from the beginning, though I can't remember if I have ever commented on it before!

These chapters were beautiful! The description of their wedding night was wonderful and heartbreaking all at once... brought tears to my eyes.

Can't wait for part 3 to start!

I just wrote you a big, long, heartfelt FB message that the stupid LJ thingie ate, and I'm exhausted from weeping over your story and my reaction to it, so let me just say thank you this time. You are a consummate author, your ideas are fascinating and (IMO) altogether believable, and I'm soooo glad I read these new chapters today! Kudos, from the bottom of my heart.

I'd give you a bouquet of roses if I could-- here, I hope you'll accept these virtual posies *hands over a huge bouquet*. Brava!

You're welcome. At least virtual posies don't make you sneeze!

Did you get my note over at wranglers, that your pointers don't work? They don't open the chapter pages. Thanks!

What a wonderful story. It brought tears to my eyes just reading Ennis and Jack's conversations. It's just so beautiful! I want Ennis to be happy, but can he be happy with Jack dead? What about David? I'm not sure where you're going with this, but I'm positive that it's a good place! Yay! Good story ahead!

Thanks so much for this. You sure know how to tug at the heartstrings, yet not go over the edge. Loved the conversations with Jack up in the mountain, the way he nudges Ennis away from the quagmire of his despair towards picking up his life and living it. Wonderful surreal mood you created; very nicely done. Looking forward to reading how Ennis fares. (Still choked up.)

Great story, I like how Jack reached out for him from the otherside, how they had a wedding night (how he sprinkled Jack's ashes on the mountain and how Ennis vowed to have his ashes scattered there as well. I had a similar scene in my one shot (filler story) Where Ennis finally takes Jack home to Brokeback)

more please
