It's been like the Keystone cops over here.
So today was when they were going to take my grandfather off the respirator, the doctor had guessed he'd only last about 30 minutes without it. So my mother was there, her fiancee Alex, her sister, a family friend, and two uncles and an aunt of my grandfather's generation. Apparently they were chatting outside near the nurses' station when one uncle got pale and started to pass out, my mom's sister and fiancee quickly grabbed onto him and started yelling for a chair. Then the aunt got hysterical and started to fall over as well, which my mom and the family friend made a grab for before she hit the floor
Of course then the other uncle started to sway and the family friend got him a chair...and when he started to get back up she apparently nearly sat on him to keep him down. So they ran them all down to emergency while the docs were asking whether they should continue with the procedure in ICU, and others were just wandering back and forth. Annndd of course my grandfather(still in a coma) continued to snore away once they got the respiration tube out, which they thought was keeping him alive, lol.
Yeah, they couldn't write this stuff for a soap opera if they tried.
