his might seem like yet another slap in the face for Ianto lovers everywhere, if he can be so easily replaced.
That's exactly what I thought yesterday after watching. But the more I think about the scene with Jack, the more okay it seems. I mean RTD didn't want to explicitly mention Torchwood and the events of CoE, so Jack and Doctor couldn't really talk to each other. And at least we see that Jack's still grieving and that Doctor's the only one who can break through to him and make him realize he can't run forever.

I'm officially converted, lol. Rec me fic? XD
YES! :D Besides, you can totally ship both Doctor/Master and Doctor/Jack xD

So, a couple of my favorite fics:

New Dawn Fades by omphalos: A very long story about the Master not dying in Last of the Time Lords and being forced to travel with the Doctor instead. There's also Jack and the return of Gallifrey and I'm convinced RTD read this one xD And there's a happy ending.

Season Four by ariastar: An alternate Doctor Who season four. In which the Doctor and the Master have dysfunctional ( ... )

I love this post :)
I was impressed with Wilfred as well, he was great, and his scene with the doctor when he wanted to give him the gun was heartbreaking.

Doctor/Master ftw. (: They fed us with great slashiness in these last two episodes, but they just kind of ruined it by not giving them a proper goodbye. The Master just vanished! I wanted them to say goodbye to each other! Something! Anything! I loved how the master saved the Doctor's life, that was brilliant. But then they should have had a moment between them. That was really disappointing. All this build up, and no big emotional goodbye scene between them. ):

I completely, completely agree with you. Just a look, or a line, or something. At the very least some acknowledgement from the Doctor of the sacrifice that the Master made.

Apparently Julie wanted a goodbye between them too, but Rusty laughed at her. :P

Umm, random thoughts...

Bernard Cribbins is a freakin' legend and I did love that it was his knocking. Cleverrr.

I didn't actually like the episode much at all, tbh, but David was amazing and heartbreaking at the end, God bless him. ♥

ROSEEEEE!!!! I miss her. Watch the montage on Confidential made me miss s2/4 and Rose/Ten sooooo much. *siiigh* ♥

I really didn't like 11's scene at the end. At all. Geronimo? DNW. I'll wait till s5 to judge but... I MISS DAVID!! :(

He is, isn't he?! Easily the best thing about this episode.

*hugs Rose* ♥

I agree. :( 'Geronimo' is nowhere near as awesome as 'Allons-y'. :P I don't think we can really get a good enough picture of him from those 30 seconds, though. I'm sure he'll be better in S5. *fingers crossed*

Definitely!! XD

I seriously need to do a s2 re-watch, heh. ♥

Hahaha, it so isn't! :P Yeah, definitely, we'll wait and see. I hope he's good.
