i agree, was a great episode, and im finally beginning to properly like Ray!
i found it odd how they played down Chris/Shaz breaking up, so there's gonna be some reason... (a slashy reason..)
the sam appearance gave me tears in my eyes and im not sure why...
glasses guy creeped me out from the first appearance.
one thing i spotted that make me go :O was when glasses guy was talking to gene in his office and hinted about Alex, and its the first proper inkling we;ve had that Gene might know what's really going on...
It was a fantastic episode, gripping from start to finish, although I didn't understand the case at all.
Ray is brilliant. I can't believe how different he is! Now that's some good character development for you. :D
Yeah, Chris/Shaz was a bit flippant wasn't it. I figured they didn't want lovey-dovey relationship stuff getting in the way of the DARK GENE PLOT. Slashy reason FTW! S3 will end with Chris/Ray, Alex/Shaz, Sam/Gene and Molly/Test Card Girl. *nods*
Sam-mentions, lots of 'em. T'is what I want from A2A, but it also makes me sad. :(
Glasses guy IS creepy. And the bit about 'hey, I'm gonna investigate you because I have to but don't worry it's cool' was a tad unbelievable.
Thanks for reading and commenting. I feel like I need to talk about this as much as possible. :P
Aww, you can use your Coldplay icon any day. I loves it. ♥
I'm worried what they're gonna do to Gene. :( He's already so, so different from the man we first met and I know everybody changes but it's still sad to see him torn down like this.
It was a brilliant bit of story-telling though. It's certainly a talking point. Great drama has to have the balls to do something really shocking and A2A has plenty. But my shipper heart still wants a happy ending for Gene and Sam and knowing that won't happen is depressing. :P
Me too. Sam/Gene seriously, literally, changed my life. I don't believe for one second that Gene killed Sam, but it certainly would be one dramatic fucking ending. However, if that's the case, I will simply go back to saying that Ashes is a slightly crap spin-off that I do not accept as canon.

I know, he's even on the title credits. There for the whole series? Or will he be another Mac?
I got my Dad into it, but I can't exactly talk to him about Sam/Gene. He honestly thinks Gene hated Sam, and probably did bump him off. :P So, y'know.

But not all that surprising, since they've told us eight hours earlier that that's what happened. It's a red herring, has to be.
