Ack!! JLC is leaving on the 12th!!! Who shall be my partner in spontaneous shenanagins??!!  Last night we went on a "shopping spree".  Several dressing room attendants were amused (or not), a certain Piercing Pagoda employee's company was a surprise treat, and I ended up buying clothes.  Not only clothes, but among the items there was not just a skirt but also a dress! OMG! I think I'm becoming a girl!!  Batten down the hatches!! The world's ending!!  At least I didn't buy jewelry as well... although it was very tempting since we were at the Pagoda for quite a while... oooo pretty, pretty.... ahhhh.. jewelry, yeah jewelry is what I was looking at...  pretty "jewelry".    ;- )

Debating the merits of heading home Thur/Fri to finish up the cow's hooves.  Ooo... I can stop at the cattle auction...  hmm, that's probably a worse idea than JLC and I going to buy jewelry.  Especially since goats and llamas tend to be sold at the auction I'm thinking of.   :- )    Maybe I can embarrass SP there again.  *innocent grin*

Squirt's college edumacation choices are being reviewed.  Financial aid is good.  Schools that don't really award financial aid are bad.  I'm getting Ivy League for a not-so-hefty price.  He wants aviation school with a really big price tag.  Should suffice to say that the numbers aren't quite adding up for him to go where he wants to.  Won't really change my plans on going out to see the family out west if he doesn't go, but it does alter my options.  Which reminds me.  I should probably make some excuse to drive the truck with the trailer attached since I'm looking at taking a load of calves out to IA when/if I go.  Preferably with something that weighs more than the goat inside (No, taking the goat to market is NOT A GOOD EXCUSE).

Hot and muggy out.  Milking seemed to take forever today.  Had to almost barter with the hoof trimmer to get the cows out of their pens!  And the tie-stall girls had no idea where they were going, especially the 2x'ers.  Didn't help that two groups got mixed up for several runs so there were cows wandering around showing up in random stalls.  But, with a lot of breaks for a quick drink, we finished up at a relatively normal time so evening crew wasn't hassling us about holding them up.  Even had time for some barn gossip.  Fun.  Subject of the day: Cow dropped dead two steps from the hoof trimmer's chute.  Workers believe *anonymous* scared cow to death with his looks.  Regret expressed because the admin won't let us have the hamburger like they used to.  High-fat dairy feed equals some fiiine hamburger by local standards.

Um, yeah... I think the heat's gotten to me... time to finish up what I'm doing and find a hose or other suitable supply of water to "wash my car".  I suppose I should have some sort of a brush if I'm going to do that though...
