So in lieu of going out tonite with some girls from work, I stayed in and watched Jesus Camp on A&E.
It's really hard to be a Christian in this day and age, and to believe in a God that would allow an army of children to go out and speak to the masses about how abortion is wrong and global warming is a myth...in His honor. Not only are they comparing themselves to children who are trained to face death for the love of Allah, but they are encouraging kids here to see them as martyrs. You're six years old, you shouldn't even know what abortions are.
It just sucks because all I want is the happy medium. I want to be a Christian and live by a set of moral codes and not feel like it's my duty to judge and condemn others. What ever happened to unconditional love and forgiveness? It feels like the religion I grew up with doesn't exist anymore.
Anyway, I miss my mom a lot tonight. Happy New Year, guys.
