- Love picture
Try to take a picture
Of love
Didn’t think I missed him
That much.
I want to fill this new frame
But it’s empty
Jaejoong picked up his camera reluctantly. He forgot how it felt like to hold a camera, adjust the angle and take a picture. It’s been a long time since he did this. Feeling inspired, he walked over to the cupboard, rummaged through it until he found and empty frame - his favourite one. Jaejoong felt determined to fill it, so he started taking pictures.
Time flew, and Jaejoong finally stopped taking pictures. He looked through the photos one by one and he realized something - the pictures were all empty. He got frustrated and threw the camera on the floor, smashing the expensive lens into a million pieces. Something was missing. Something really important to him.
Jaejoong thought hard and stared at the photos on the walls around him, the framed photographs that was hanging on the walls. Even though they were not perfect, but they were not empty. He looked at the photos of himself, but they weren’t empty. Why?
Suddenly it hit him. There was someone beside him in all those photos. That someone made everything all look not empty. And now… he was gone.
“Yunnie…” Jaejoong whispered.
He looked at the empty frame in his hand and let go of it, staring at the empty frame on the floor.
It will forever be empty.
- Love letter
Tried to write a letter
In ink
Its been getting better
I think
I got a piece of paper
But it’s empty.
Jaejoong felt frustrated and exasperated. Groaning, he looked at his wastepaper basket full with crumpled pieces of paper, there were a number on the floor because it was too full. Swirling around in his comfortable armchair, he sighed. Jaejoong ruffled his hair impatiently and picked up his pen - for the hundredth time.
“Yunho,” He began writing.
He stopped suddenly, thinking hard on what to write. His neatly plucked eyebrows were knitted together, and beats of perspiration glistened on his pale forehead. Suddenly, his phone rang, getting an alarmed reaction from Jaejoong.
“Hello?”
“Hello Jaejoong, it’s me, Hyun Joong.”
“Oh…”
“How is it going?”
“Its getting better, I think. Oh, who am I kidding? I can’t seem to write anything! ARGH!”
“All the best okay? Just know that whatever you do, I’m rooting for you.”
“Thanks.”
“You’re welcome, bye”
Jaejoong massaged his forehead and took a sip on his favourite tea. He went back to work, staring at the empty paper, with only his lover’s name on it.
“The paper looks so lonely with only Yunho’s name on it…” he muttered softly.
Drops of wet tears landed on the paper, accompanying the lonely name.
- Love bed
And I’ve even wondered
If we
Should be getting under
These sheets
We could lie in this bed
But it’s empty
Jaejoong walked mechanically into his room. He stopped. His eyes trailed over to the empty bed. He took a deep breath and sat on his bed. Closing his eyes, he opened his arms and felt onto the soft bed that bounced slightly, because of his weight. Jaejoong kicked off his slippers and curled up on the bed, snuggling his head into one of the pillow.
His pillow smelled of lavender and a hint of Yunho’s smell - mixture of citrus and grapefruit. The scent was still there no matter how many times the pillow was washed. Jaejoong breathed in deeply, as if he was engulfing the scent of Yunho inside himself. He thought of the days spent with Yunho, the happy memories. His warm tight embrace, the gentle pecks he gave, and the days they spent together.
Jaejoong opened his eyes and looked at the other pillow beside his, on the other side, and thought about how Yunho used to sleep here when he was sleeping over. He snuggled to the middle of the bed, his head resting between the two pillows and opened his arms, filling up most of the space. Jaejoong stared at the ceiling, wondering what was Yunho doing at this moment. Slowly, he drifted off to sleep, his heart feeling empty.
When you take a step back and look at the bed, no matter how Jaejoong tries to fill the bed, It would still look empty.
- Love couple
Maybe we’re trying
Trying too hard.
Maybe we’re torn apart
Maybe the timing
Is beating our hearts
We’re empty.
Yunho reached out to touch Jaejoong’s cheek, caressing it lightly. Jaejoong could only look at Yunho in silence, his eyes telling Yunho how much he loved him. One last touch.
Yunho grabbed Jaejoong and embraced him, tears filling the latter’s eyes. They hugged tightly, feelings each other’s warmth, never wanting to let go. One last hug.
They broke away; Yunho brought his lips to Jaejoong’s, smashing their lips together. Both of them kissed passionately, as if there was no tomorrow. One last kiss.
“Bye, my love. Till we meet again.” Yunho whispered in Jaejoong’s ear, tickling him slightly.
They let go of each other reluctantly. Yunho walked away slowly, pulling his luggage with him. Jaejoong’s legs gave way as he dropped to the ground, kneeling on his legs, tears coursing down his cheeks. He clutched his heart and watched his lover walk away, never looking back. His heart hurt, so badly.
It feels so empty.
