Selfish Colbert Helped to Raise Money for Charity: The Monster

There is an article at NoFactZone by DB that needs to be read. The short of it is that Bill O'Reilly was piss off with Colbert because of
this. O'Reilly didnt waste time on attacking the poor while attempting to defend his willfully ignorant, borderline heretical, self justification of being a Christian Grinch during the Christmas Season.

The Yellow Ribbon Fund is a charity that primarily helps returning American service men & women injured during active service. Not all charitable organizations are about poor people. Unless you have a problem with helping our troops that need our help, I dont see what is wrong with the YRF.

The US Olympic Speedskating Team lost their sponsorship and Stephen Colbert gave his help so the team could participate during the winter games, otherwise it would have been the end for the American team in Canada. He could have just refused to help them but he didnt, he sacrificed his time to bring this issue on his show. He gave the team a chance to participate in the games to make the country proud.

All in all, he does good work not just for the poor but for those he believes he can help and he contributes in their time of need. If you have a problem with this, then we are going to differ.

Also, if Bill really did disagreed with Ann he should have pressed the issue by bringing up the fact that Colbert was involved in several charitable organizations and how much he and his fans contributed. Ann said that his fans dont donate or contribute, Bill said and I quote "we dont know that". But I guess we are going to differ on that matter.

For what it's worth, I thought Bill was being more fair than Coulter. Actually Bill is one of the more sane people at Fox these days. Scary that.

Not all charitable organizations are about poor people.

The theology discussion was about helping the poor through taxes, not giving to charitable organizations in general.

If you have a problem with this, then we are going to differ.

No one claimed to have a problem with this.

Ann said that his fans dont donate or contribute, Bill said and I quote "we dont know that".

Is that inaccurate? We don't know how much his fans contribute, and that's a pretty good slap back to her that she's not giving a factual statement.
