Are we being played?

Sep 19, 2009 03:32

Ok, so first of all, we just got to say it like it is. Birthers, useful idiots, 'death panel' believers are a bunch of puppets. You know this and I know this. Any of you? This is not for you. Go derp your bullshit somehwere else. I'm not interested in your idiotic wank.

But seriously, are we getting played? Is actual questions being smothered by building a token stupid opposition that nobody intelligent wants to be related to? We know that these 'protest' organizations are basically fed their opinion by corporate PR firms being payed to support the interests of insurance firms.

But what if it's not them that are getting played, but them that are being used as a tool against questioning? They plan on dropping the public option now? So basically we're seeing a system where every american is required to buy the product of insurance firms. How much do they stand to gain? Well multiply the price of an insurance plan by the number of uninsured. For those that can't afford it, that' ok, we'll be spreading that one amongst tax payers.

This is capitalism guys. We let organizations do what they can to get the best profit at the lowest production cost, it seem obvious that requiring people to purchase your product is a short-cut to profit. Are we being taken in the biggest scam since the military industrial complex? It's part of the game. You're not so dumb to think that people are so dim-witted to limit their capitalistic aims to selling their product right?

So this is what I ask: Is people's realistic and actual opposition to specific health care reform plans being drowned out by BS claims that nobody takes seriously and only exists for the purpose of making anyone who may question these ideas look bad?

UPDATE: I just wanted to state that I was around six sheets to the wind while posting this so I apologize for the aggressive language. The basic hypothesis I still find interesting though and would like to hear people's views about. If the mods don't care I can make it a bit...kinder, but I know generally people frown upon changing posts so I won't touch it for now.

fraud, health care, opinion
