OK, here's a more real story than the previous one. I'm sure there'll be plenty of "shit happens" sort of hand-waving, but still. Let's look at the facts that are known at this point.
About 1000 men, moving in groups of 20-30 around the German city of Cologne on New Year's eve, assaulted, robbed and tried to rape local women who had gathered at the square in front of the central railway station to celebrate the event. This happened in front of the eyes of thousands of people, in the open, and with impunity.
The local police reports that the perpetrators "looked Noth African, were men between 15-30 y.o., and as it turns out, they had organized themselves to meet at 11 p.m. on the previous day (Dec 31)", the organization of that gathering having been done via the social networks. They had started from the famous Cologne cathedral, then moved on to the railway station which is nearby. Many of those groups showed "overt sexual intentions" to the local women, they tried to rape them (at least one rape victim has filed a complaint since), they groped women on the street, grabbed their handbags, purses, mobiles, etc.
All of this was happening in front of the Cologne cathedral, the central landmark at the heart of a German city, in the heart of Europe. In the open. Demonstratively and impudently.
This isn't just some information vomited by toilet rags that regularly display stories of E.T.s in your pasta and who incite panic on a daily basis.
Wolfgang Albers, the chief of the Cologne police said there was "a large number of sexual assaults, and done in an extremely brutal way". Nice, eh?
Let's recap once more so this could sink in a bit more comfortably. Over a thousand North Africans / Middle Easterners have organized themselves (reports say each had recruited over a dozen men, so you can imagine what sort of hectic recruitment must have been happening prior to the event), they gathered to form a huge crowd at the cathedral at the heart of the heart of Europe - you know, that same Europe that has been giving assylum to supposedly oppressed mothers with children - predominantly male mothers with beards, as it turns out. And those oppressed "mothers" are now assaulting women who've gathered there to celebrate New Year. And are raping them and robbing them.
Wait, weren't those supposed to be poor Syrian mothers with children? Refugees fleeing war and death in Syria? How come they are young North African men?
I'm surprised. Just look at me, and see how extremely surprised I am. Or don't. This must have been such a genius revelation, though: turns out, these are not poor oppressed Syrian mothers with children. Such a shock!
The symbolism of this attack is pretty evident, as were the attacks in Paris. It was well organized. It happened at the largest cathedral in one of the historical towns of West Europe, and on such a symbolic event as New Year's eve, which is essentially a celebration of everything secular. And it happened in front of everyone's eyes.
But that's not the end of the story. The really outrageous thing is the reaction of the German tolerantists. (See? I'm not buying into the Russian narrative and calling them "tolerasts" - let's just add some nuance here and say that contrary to the perceptions of some true right-wing radicals, people's sexual orientation is irrelevant. I'm calling them tolerantists, because the suffix implies that they've turned their worldview into an ideology at this point). So what was the reaction of those nice people who had initially welcomed the bearded mothers without children into their home, meeting them with flowers and teddy bears at the railway stations - and who then ended up beaten up, raped and robbed on New Year's eve? Heiko Maas, federal minister of justice: "We are categorically opposed to these disgusting attacks. Everyone responsible should bear their deserved punishment. This is a new dimension of organized crime". Well done, bro! Good story. Go on, show them! Chide the bad guys, they'll heed your rebuke, I promise!
Henriette Reker, Cologne mayor: "This cannot be tolerated, it cannot be left without the resolute intervention of the lawful state. We cannot let the citizens or guests of Cologne fear that they could be assaulted". You can't tolerate this, eh? Kudos. What can you tolerate?
Frank Henkel, a Berlin senator on internal affairs: "It is unbearable and terrible that criminal sex gangs are assaulting women in this country. There is no town in this country that is outside the law, nor are there any places where assaulting women is the norm, and which are inaccessible for women. The lawful state ought to intervene with all its severity, and protect the victims". I know, right? Let's see how that's going to happen now.
Ralph Jaeger, minister of the interior of the Nordrhein-Westfalen province: "We do not accept groups of men from North Africa to organize themselves with the purpose of committing sexual assaults on helpless women and humiliating them". And this is a statement of a minister of the interior. He "does not accept". What the hell? Is that all you've got to say?
And now the cherry of the cake. Aydan Özoguz, representative of the federal government on integration with the rank of a minister: "I am appalled by the assaults on women in Cologne. These women should now be helped in every way possible. We still know too little about the perpetrators. The police are investigating at full force. Everything has to be cleared out. We owe this to the victims. But it is also important not to generalize and qualify all refugees and foreigners as criminals". Well, of course that's important. The economic immigrants that you're still calling "refugees" are apparently supposed to be stripped of any responsibility for anything they do, lest you're put in a situation where you'd have to admit that you've done a terrible mistake by letting them in indiscriminately.
Not to mention the ridiculous advice that the Cologne mayor has issued to her fellow women: just keep strangers beyond a hand's reach. That'll sure keep them away.
The list could go on. The point is, the reaction of the politicians (not even starting to discuss the 4-day delay and total lack of reaction of the media, who are only now starting to apologize for it, once the outcry has gained momentum), is evidence of the complete political impotence and schizophrenia, the utter stupor and helplessness that the broken West European political class has succumbed to. And yet another proof of the brain-death of political correctness which has been brought to an extreme for its own sake. And of the staggering hypocrisy of the ruling elites. And yes, the utter failure of multiculturalism that Angela Merkel herself spoke of (before she bent over under the pressure and made the call to start accepting economic immigrants a.k.a. "refugees" indiscriminately).
Those who invited the bearded pseudo-mothers without children from North Africa and the Middle East into their home, those who were meeting them with teddy bears at the railway stations, are now "shocked and appalled", "they cannot tolerate", they "do not accept" the consequences of their own decision - consequences that many had been warning about for quite a while, but were talked down and called all sorts of insulting names: haters, bigots, racists, Nazi, you name it. These same deluded lunatics who somehow never saw this coming, are now wondering how to react, what to do in the face of a thousand men rampaging the heart of a historic German town, beating up, groping, raping and robbing women. Right in front of their eyes. They "cannot accept this".
Well, stop accepting it. Stop letting people in, without vetting them. That is all. Is that so hard?
These statements, this rebuke, this outcry, will surely show the perpetrators. The bearded pseudo-mothers without children will certainly have second thoughts when they hear how appalled you are. They'll be so scared, they'll now have to start filming the rapes they're committing and uploading them on the social networks for their peers to see and cheer. Sure, it won't be qualified as rape by them, because IN THEIR CULTURE IT ISN'T. In their culture, women who are raped are guilty of enticing the rapists to rape them, and punished brutally. Poor rapist. How could he resist? How does that sit with the precious Western values, and with all the women's rights accomplishments that have been achieved with so much effort during the years?
WHICH is more important to you, Europe: your own purported values, or accommodating those of a newcomer? Because we cannot continue to pretend that there isn't a conflict between these two things. Not any more.
