A trip with this vehicle seems like quite an ordeal. Other than the nostalgic sentiments, I do not see much reason to bring this upon oneself, especially on longer trips, and on a hot or cold day. Still, a great story as usual.

It's fascinating how an otherwise trivial thing like a transit transport vehicle could become a symbol for entire generations, packed with added meaning - especially in societies that are in practice, if not in name, scarcity-based and restricted in every way possible.
