"The guy should get a medal for what he did."

I felt like I was cleaning up a mess. Not like spilled food, not like vomit, not even like…not even like diarrhea. The worst mess possible. And I was stuck with it…They weren’t human. I don’t see them as human. I see them as vermin. Social mistakes, social problems.
These are the words of a killer shortly after he committed his crime. His victims ( Read more... )

Sean Hannity being an assclown is something no one will likely contest.

Mr. Smith was convicted, rightly so. Because his actions show premeditation and the execution-style acts were indefensible as any kind of self-defense.

However, we're also dealing with an old man living alone whose home had been broken into multiple times. I can say that after a burglary, I had trouble sleeping in the house.

Which naturally justifies sticking a gun under a seriously injured girl's chin and pulling the trigger.

Actually it doesn't, which is why he was convicted.

Interesting that this comment was directed at you instead of me. I don't think that's particularly fair.

Did you listen to the audio?

He wasn't some feeble, confused old codger. He was a venomous, seriously disturbed man who was out to kill, and admits as much in the audio. He didn't commit his crime in the heat of the moment. He planned it quite systematically.

Again, his home had been robbed multiple times. I'd be pretty angry too.

It's easy to sit back on an on-line forum and proclaim how evil of a person he is.

Especially when he records his crime, and his horrifying commentary on it.

Easier after hearing him go through some that horrific justification thought process on that recording. I'm not saying he is evil, but clearly a mentally disturbed individual and very dangerous.

Well I would say that someone who walks over and executes a helpless person with a gun under their chin is pretty evil. At that stage the girl was no threat to him.

It really is horrible what he did. I really think he deserves the death penalty.

I don't, but then I'm opposed to the death penalty.

Harder for some than others apparently.

And I'm sure you'd be fainting and wailing with distress if he been given the death penalty.
