Uh, red team, wtf? You've allowed these tea party freaks drive to the car into a ditch. That's the plan? “We’re very excited,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). “It’s exactly what we wanted, and we got it.”
Well, yay for hurting people IRL?

IDGI? )

congress, women's rights, budget, extremism, health care, medicine, tea party

Ugh, so we're not the only ones whose parliament is totally fucked up, stalemated, blocked, impassed and sunken in the bog.

Is it serious issues being debated in yours? I think the American stalemate is mostly about contraception coverage and a bunch of crybabies who couldn't buy the last election so they've decided to wood-chipper anything the blue team attempts.

It's about some crybabies of ours who narrowly won an election but were then outmanoeuvered by the next two biggest parties who combined to form a government, and relegate party #1 into opposition. They've been so butthurt ever since that they'd go to all kinds of ridiculous lengths to torpedo anything the new government is trying to do. The latest bullshit the opposition did was to initiate a no-confidence vote in parliament, only to then boycott said vote and thus postpone the further proceedings of the parliament due to a lack of quorum. And the legislature does have some urgent matters to address and they don't have time for this sort of shenanigans. Ultimately, all they managed to achieve was to postpone the no-confidence vote by a couple of days, which then naturally turned into a "confidence" vote, as they of course lacked the numbers to shoot down the government.

I'm telling ya. Bullshit all around.

In the US, Parliament is a funk music group.

Patrice Some describes an African initiation rite where the initiates are buried in the ground up to their heads. He says that it causes unbearable heat to build up. The album cover photo reminded me of the practice.

Are you arguing about smarter things? "health care good or evil?", "birth control, unacceptable".

See below. We're not even arguing about things. We're comparing our dicks.
