Then please ask them for some comparative examples of exactly how the USA is currently less free than Russia and get back to me about it.

I hold no brief for either of the George Bushes, but no, I doubt we are less free than Russia, especially given some of the footage I've seen from Russia on, for instance, the treatment of gays there.
