Well, if we're going to go around slaughtering each other and blowing shit up, may as well make women do it too. Cause, ya know after two wars and occupations, we need the bodies folks.

Lysistrata aside, no reason women should be above men in that way.

Lysistrata persuades the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands and lovers as a means of forcing the men to negotiate peace - a strategy, however, that inflames the battle between the sexes. It will be mostly poor women who have no options but to join the military as we have an economic draft. We will have to see more black women on those silent ABC news Sunday night rosters.

You're trying to draw in other issues and being inflametory. Knock it off.

Please explain why this issue is not relevant. I don't see you scolding anyone for bring up rape. Why not poverty?

We're talking media reactions to a change in the military. That is the topic. Not poverty.

Sorry to sully your fine work. Good bye.

I love that play. Aristophanes was one of the first political satirists, and in my mind, one of the best.

Yeah, I keep hoping a buried Roman or Greek or Egyptian library will turn up with all his lost plays, but it seems so unlikely :/

You edited because you don't think people here wouldn't know Lyistrata? So little faith...
