Guy who messaged me referred to it as a "Royal Ugly Dude" hat. It actually manages to live up to the hype, I will say.

Yeah, I think he was wearing his judge's robes too, and I know the Supreme Court justices do that at the State of the Union speech; and I suppose since a presidential inauguration is a formal state affair, wearing the robes makes perfect sense. I must confess, I sort of like it. :P
