I sense anger in your response. Anger is like drug addiction, it's time for people to dry out. There are certain groups of influence in the US who have a vested interest in keeping people angry. They couch their arguments along the line of: This is why you should be angry, and this is the solution to that anger. Once the hook is established, they use confirmation bias to elicit negative responses to any common occurrence. A high emotional state is not the best time to be making decisions, so the longer they can keep you strung out, the more they know you will habitually vote emotionally instead of rationally and hence elect people who serve their interests. All of this isn't a character flaw, it is just the way the human brain works. The rational part of the brain needs to forcibly temper the emotional part when making decisions of importance.
