/what was the leaders reaction?/

It seems that Obama doesn’t want to admit his foreign-policy mistakes.

seriously? That the president of the US didn't happen to respond publicly about a single pakistani citizen getting threatened by a mob is NOT a foreign policy mistake.

"The deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi had been a "spontaneous" act" - It's not true. It means Obama has foreign policy mistakes.

So a terrorist group plans to attack the Consulate, and uses the movie as a cover. That's Obama's fault is it?

You're right. And why does Obama apologize? Are terrorist groups being his allies?

if you're going to base your argument on false pretenses, I'd appreciate it if you'd say so from the start, so I can just ignore it.

President Obama did not apologize. He stood up for freedom of speech while condemning religious intolerance and violence.

"...a wave of anti-American riots erupts across the Islamic world..."

Why?

If you want to argue that the drone attacks, and the war in Afghanistan and the practice of rendition and torture are bad foreign policy decisions by Obama, I'm right there with you. When you want to argue that his response about the movie and the embassy murders were an apology, I think you're full of it.

I want to say that Obama is in the wrong with allies and enemies.

Say it all you want. It's not that simple.

Barack Obama has the most nuanced foreign policy of the last fifty years of American politics.

"President Barack Obama was caught on camera assuring outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he will have "more flexibility" to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after the U.S. presidential election..."

Who are friends - Putin and Iran or the European Union which needs a defences?

Good Christ. We are all allies and competitors in one way or another. Russia is NOT the United States' enemy.

From what I've read, Putin is a dictator. But Putin is not Russia, and increased tensions between Russia and the US don't help anyone, least of all other Russians.
