A lot of people in the Uk are on strike today. they say that their jobs and pensions are under threat, but many private sector workers feel that Public Sector workers are being feather bedded

So you're basically admitting that the public sector unions are a make-work program?

One of the things you appear to be saying is that a good work ethic is not correlated to success. In that case, you would be correct. That someone is willing to get up at 5 and work all day for pay deserves neither honor nor respect as that is what one is supposed to do if that is the job requirement. The number of capable people willing to do any given job at any given level of pay determines the value of such work.
