The Dangerous Lives of my parents

so my mom called me tonight and i missed the call, and when i called back it turns out all she wanted to say was this -- that earlier today there was a mysterious black cylinder on my front porch.  my mom assumed that it was from a TV network sending my dad the free stuff we get every month that sometimes comes in weird//creative//depending on how you look at it packaging.  she was very excited about this cylinder because it contained the first half of the L Word Season 4 on DVD, but apparently my dad thought it was a bomb (?????  on the front porch of some random house in West LA???????) and was so freaked out that he wouldn't go near it for 10 minutes, and then he finally did and they realized that it was nothing more harmful than mainstream lesbian entertainment, and then as he was driving to work tonight my mom called him and they rehashed the entire event and laughed so hard until my mom said that she was going to pee her pants

and then she felt that this was worth sharing with me and i ironically felt it was worth sharing with you because of the fact that i didn't think it was worth sharing with me in the first place....i just told her that they need to stop watching 24
