I am not a purist. There is no such thing as a perfect political party, or a president who governs in accordance with one's every ethical judgment. One of the things that puts me off is his flip-flop on the issue of medical marijuana.

Yeah, he claimed to be for medical marijuana in 2008, then he upped the crackdown, and now claims to be for it again? WTF?

On the upside, the fact that medical marijuana is one of those things politicians feel compelled to lie about at least shows a decent swing in popular opinion.

Um, Obama did? I'm sorry, does he have that kind of tactical say over the DEA? The government is many people, not everyone is on the same page.

Course, that doesn't change the fact that he didn't stop the DEA from cracking down, but he didn't order them to do so.
